As part of our bespoke services here at Eagle Plastics Limited we can offer;
- Cut To Size. This is perfect for those clients who want to get maximum yield from their plastic sheets; reducing the amount of waste and therefore cost too.
We were the first company in the UK (to the best of our knowledge) to invest in a CCM Premier 168 guillotine with its impressive 168cm cutting width. It’s capable of cutting through up to 10 sheets of plastic at a time, and hyper-accurate to within 0.5mm. Our CNC beam saw (pictured top image) can cut sizes and gauges up to 3 meters by 2 meters and a thickness of 20mm.
This clean, precision-cut results in a super-smooth edge. This reduction and streamlining of man-hours results in a reduction of both time and cost to you, our customer.
That’s not all. Continuing in our quest to remain a cut above the rest, we have introduced a ‘cut to shape’ service too. Let us know your bespoke dimensions, and shape outline and we will do the rest.
Cut to size service
Our cut to size service is available on all of our thermoplastics sheeting and ideal for those customers that have a specific size in mind but don’t have the necessary equipment. Our machine offers a precision, professional cut and operated by our trained in-house staff.
What do we use?
We use a CCM Premier 168 guillotine provided by Terry Cooper Services which is capable of cutting 168cm width and up to 10 sheets of plastic at a time. It was chosen due to its high quality cutting capability (accurate within 0.5mm).
The CCM Premier 168 guillotine is set up via an easy to use touchscreen. It features a deep clamp opening which accepts more substrate to reduce overall cutting time, and infra-red slim line light barriers. Safety is also enhanced via the use of an optical cutting safety line.
What are the key benefits of the ‘cut to size’ service?
By cutting a sheet to the exact size required, means that any surplus is not wasted. The ‘off cuts’ can be stored, either cut themselves or recycled.
The guillotine produces a highly polished clean-cut edge which is exceptionally smooth. By creating this finish, it reduces the need for any further process e.g. diamond polishing.
