High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is part of the polyethene products, it is a thermoplastic polymer with a high strength to density ratio. It is a versatile product with high tensile strength, and good chemical and corrosion resistance. Its low moisture absorption and other properties make it a preferred choice for a wide variety of indoor and outdoor applications including bottles, playground equipment packaging and furniture. It has good recycling properties and when UV stabilised, has improved impact resistance.
In many cases it offers a cost-saving alternative to heavier metal or glass, does not splinter or rot; it’s recyclable too making it a great all round product that can be easily cut, machined, fabricated, welded and mechanically fastened.
