Liza Jones is the most recent addition to join the Eagle Plastics Limited team. She has been recruited to further expand the company’s sales potential of thermoplastics sheeting in to the North of the UK. Liza was handpicked due to her relevant industry experience and tenacious personality.
Darren Clarke, UK Managing Director explains, ‘Meeting Liza was a perfect opportunity for us both. We know that there is so much growth potential and untapped business in the Northern region. It was serendipity! All the team at Eagle Plastics are passionate about our products and aim to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Finding someone that not only has the product knowledge, industry experience but also matches the character of Eagle is a perfect combination for us. I know she’ll be a complete success and that clients will enjoy benefitting from her vast industry knowledge.’
Eagle Plastics are a leading thermoplastic sheets expert that will be celebrating their 25th birthday in 2019. Their success has been built on a number of inter-related factors with much of their organic business growth born as a result of word of mouth referrals and satisfied customers placing repeat orders.
Liza Jones commented, ‘This is such an exciting opportunity for both myself and Eagle Plastics. We are known within certain industry sectors as a thermoplastics wholesaler and supplier; experts in our field. For instance we provide much of the Point of Sale (POS) and Display market, including some of the major cosmetics suppliers. More recently, our mirrored High Impact Polystyrene (HIPs) sheets have been used to create portable dance floors for event organisers and audio visual specialists. But what I’m really looking forward to, is not only meeting our existing customers, but generating and developing new business opportunities within the area.’
She continued, ‘Plastics has had a somewhat ‘bad’ Press recently with harrowing images of waste debris on TV. But what attracted me to Eagle is there conscious environmental commitment. Virtually all of our 600 tonne stock holding is 100% recyclable. Any off cuts we have, we can reuse back through the supply chain. Any plastics which customers want to dispose of, we go that extra mile and re-use what we can. We take our environmental responsibilities seriously. I like that. It matches my ethos too.’
Darren commented, ‘The business will be 25 years old next year. It is a major milestone for us, but we are not content to sit on our laurels and are looking for substantial business growth. The major markets for our products already exist. The automotive industry, coach builders, train carriage manufacturers are all substantial users of ABS plastic. The film industry is another sector where there is certainly growth potential. With the addition of Liza to the team and the backing of our fantastic customer service staff based at our Leicester Head Office, I can see sales soaring. With our next day delivery (in some cases same day), our bespoke cutting service and our vast range of stockholding, we can fulfill all our customer’s needs.’
Liza follows the recent appointment of Amanda Chance who has 30 years’ experience with marketing and business development. Amanda will be focusing on the marketing communications of Eagle Plastics and expanding awareness of their product portfolio to new and existing customers.
Darren concluded, ’I am excited about Eagle’s future. We have an excellent team that have individual skills and talents, that all combine to help deliver an exceptional customer service using the highest quality thermoplastics. Exciting times ahead!
