ABS sheet plastic is a type of thermoplastic that is formed by the polymerisation of styrene and acrylonitrile onto thermoplastic rubber, the thermoplastic rubber is then melt compounded with styrene acrylonitrile. The combining of all these materials forms ABS, a material that boasts a long list of properties and lends itself to many different applications.
ABS, which stands for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, is not only aesthetically pleasing but is also incredibly resistant to chemicals and high temperatures. The material is so tough and it is also available at Eagle Plastics in a flame retardant grade.
