Acrylic Capped ABS (sometimes known as acrylic ABS or ABS acrylic) is a product combining the normal characteristics of ABS (impact, strength and durability) with those of PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate) to give excellent scratch resistance, improved aesthetic performance and where necessary exceptional weatherability.
Applications & Use
Acrylic Capped ABS possesses all of the benefits of ABS and features a gloss finish and extra life span.
Its moldable properties, high impact resistance and UV stability (will not fade under exposure to daylight) make it an ideal choice for automotive, agricultural, and building sectors and outdoor applications. It has often used within the automotive sector (electric cars, agricultural equipment), the building industry (doors and conservatories) and bathroom and sanitary ware manufacturers (mobility aides and shower trays).
